The numbers surprised me a little in comparison to the same number from last year and we’re trending upwards for the year.
New construction continues to provide some of the best value to home buyers, but we realize not everyone can wait 6-9 months for their new home to be built. So new construction isn’t for everyone. Here are the numbers for March 2024
The number of home sales has come down slightly vs the previous month and the average number of days on the market has gone up, but only by a few days. But, the average list price has increased, as well as, the average sold price!
Prices have been flat, even coming down just slightly with the higher interest rates over the last year. However, with interest rates now trending down we’re seeing home prices increase and the market is beginning to heat up again. Homes are going under contract in as little as 1-3 days and we are seeing multiple offers again.
If you’ve been sitting on the sidelines waiting for rates to adjust lower, now might be the best time to get back in the market. As we continue into spring, I fully expect home prices to continue to trend upward and homes to sell faster with multiple offers.
